Beyond the Infinite Two Minutes

About a guy who discovers he has a computer that can see two minutes into the future, Beyond the Infinite Two Minutes is a movie that’s easy to admire; it was shot on a phone, takes place entirely within a cafe and the apartment above it, and probably has a budget that wouldn’t cover a day’s worth of craft services on a Hollywood production. But it never feels low-rent, it has a nifty one-take aesthetic, it’s enjoyable throughout, and the time travel shenanigans are suitably intriguing (and far more involved than you might initially suspect based on the premise). There isn’t a whole lot under the surface (the time travel stuff starts up immediately, which leaves very little room to develop the thin characters), but as a charming low-key time travel romp (the sprightly 70 minute running time helps), it’s a fun ride.
