Unmoored

Though it has a handful of memorable scenes and is generally well made, this was a fairly middling film about a woman in the aftermath of a rape allegation against her husband. The movie seems to be going for slow-burn tension, but mostly, this just never lands. There are long stretches in which not a whole lot happens, and even when stuff does happen, the film feels like it’s cosplaying as a thriller instead of actually being one. And though the premise seems ripe for drama, it’s pretty flat. It’s generally not boring and Mirja Turestedt is actually quite good in the lead role, but it doesn’t connect the way it’s trying to.
