Birth/Rebirth

About a pathologist who successfully manages to bring someone back from the dead, Birth/Rebirth is a bit of an odd one. It has the vibe and general style of a horror movie, but it’s never particularly creepy or suspenseful, nor do I particularly think it’s going for that. Which means it’s really more of a drama with horror trappings, which isn’t necessarily a bad thing — except it never quite does as much with its weighty subject matter as you might hope. It’s a Shudder original, and it very much feels like it — for better or for worse.
